Morzine Chef

Morzine, Avoriaz & Les Gets

At the heart of the Portes du Soleil

Location

SpoonyCooks is based in the heart of Morzine, Avoriaz & Les Gets; these resorts are located in the world famous Portes du Soleil ski area.  Home to 12 linked resorts either side of the French-Swiss border making it the biggest international ski area in the world!

All of us at SpoonyCooks absolutely love Morzine, Avoriaz & Les Gets because it's only an hour from the airport and caters for everyone! We believe it is suitable for all! Les Gets & Morzine being perfect for families, beginners & intermediate while Avoriaz is gnarly for park lovers, tree riders & off piste thrill seekers.

The whole of the port du Soleil has a vast number of runs, extensive off paste riding, an insane amount of snow parks, fantastic shops, bars, mountain restaurants, lively après, & the friendliest of people!

All 3 towns are big enough for non-skiers and have many things to do including cookery classes!

Morzine

Morzine is a large fully functioning year-round French Savoyard town, with hip bars, raving nightclubs and a cool hockey team. It lies in the centre of both Les Gets & Avoriaz which makes it perfectly situated if you want to ride the whole of the Portes du Soleil, or your group has a large mix of abilities. Morzine is easily accessible and there is plenty to see & do in the town.

Les Gets

Les Gets situated between Mont Blanc & Lake Geneva it’s the perfect destination for Family’s, it’s around a 1hour transfer from the airport. Les Gets is a magical ski resort complete with fairy lights, snow-covered pine trees, wood chalets & easy access to the slopes. It boasts incredible views of Mont Blanc from its peaks which are assessed by the extensive network of chairlifts.

Avoriaz

Avoriaz is a high mountain snow sure, ski in, ski out resort with insane views! What makes Avoriaz really special to us is the ‘Stash’! A piste combining freeride & freestyle which wives around the Lindarets forest. The Burton Stash uses purpose made wooden features with an emphasis on care for the environment and because it’s in the forest its always great fun even in a whiteout.

Avoriaz is also home to some incredible piste’s, snow parks, mountain terrine & now a shiny new Folie Douce! At night the resort looks like a winter wonderland with transport on horse-drawn carriage… what more do you want from a winter holiday?? Oh, did we forget to mentation it has a fantastic indoor waterpark too?
